Egeskovs park has been open to the public for generations. The historic garden looks like it has done since 1959, when the old garden was restored. However, trees and shrubs are many hundreds of years old and especially the many hedges on Egeskov are completely unique and are cared for by the castle's gardeners.
Take the food basket with you and find a picnic spot in the park. The park's many varied garden spaces are an experience in themselves. Among other things, you can experience the beautiful rose garden, the dahlia garden, the fragrance garden, the renaissance garden, the fuchsia garden and the white garden.
Set aside at least a couple of hours for your visit, which can be combined with a look at Egeskov Castle and a 10,000 m exhibition area as well as plant sales in the open greenhouses. Visit one of the country's few functioning manor house nurseries that is open with sales to plant enthusiasts. Egeskov Plantesalg has a special focus on a wide range of herbs, tomato plants and roses.
In the cozy greenhouses you can buy plants and plant a small piece of Egeskov at home.
