4 documentaries put renewed focus on art in public space.
Last year, the Danish Club's art committee nominated 50 works of art in the public space. The #TOP50artwork campaign focused on the many unique art experiences throughout the country, from pigeons at Christiansborg, an altar in Lyngby, a polar bear in Horsens, balloons in the metro - Meet Lin Utzon, Gun Gordillo, Ruth Campau and Morten Stræde!

Get a special historical insight into the buildings that represent the development of villa architecture from the 1850s to the present day functionalism. Come inside the beautiful historic Sølyst in Klampenborg and hear literate Maja Lykketoft talk about some of the house's historic residents and famous summer guests. Included in the event is also a rare opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine in the house's historic living rooms and see the fantastic shooting targets.
LA Rings Atelier is a uniquely preserved house from approx. 1790, which today is arranged as a visitor center for the painter LA Ring (1854-1933). He lived with his family in Roskilde for the last 19 years of his life. The house is open as a visitor center during the summer, and here the story of one of Danish art history's most important painters is conveyed.
The castle, which towers over Frederiksberg Bakke, was built in the early 18th century by Frederik 4. It contains a number of elegant rooms and the castle church in Baroque style. In the basement you can see the large bath and the mirror over the bathtub, which the life doctor Struensee had arranged for Christian 7.
Fredensborg Castle Gardens in North Zealand is one of Denmark's most magnificent gardens. The avenues emanate from the castle in star form and make it a powerful center that once symbolized the power of the autocratic king. The winding avenues were to demonstrate that man could control nature. The public part of Fredensborg Castle Gardens is open all year round.
